The shape of the balustrading on this sweeping stair the design inspired by the rib cage of a whale and one which works remarkably well on this twin stringer supported helical stair. The stair itself uses steel plate stringers cut to support glass treads with the curved balusters welded on. The handrail and slimmer interrails are in stainless.
