Landings
All stairs are supplied with a landing supported by a bracket and securely fixed to the floor structure at the top of the stair. The shape or layout of a landing relates to the building regulations - see BS 5395 Part 2. Important points to consider are the angle of the landing which cannot be less than 60 degrees and the amount of headroom required between the underside of the landing and the tread directly below - this should not be less than 2m measured on the pitch of the stair. Landings can be supplied in a variety of materials to match the treads.
